Greetings!

October featured speaker is  Scott Rasmus, PhD., Associate Director of the Butler County Mental Health Board and the Board's QI (Quality Improvement/Evaluation) person.  Scott is also the lead on two new projects starting in Butler County in the end of October: Outreach in the community to the elderly population exhibiting signs of depression/other mental health disorders; and an innovative program providing assessment and services to the dually diagnosed population with MIDD (Mental Illness Developmental Disabilities).  Both programs are "evidence-based", meaning they are based on the latest research for effectiveness.  Scott also will inform us of some of the data being collected regarding quality and quantity of mental health services in Butler County.

NAMI F2F Support Group for graduates
Thursday, November 5th at 7:00 p.m.

NAMI Butler County has recently started a support group for graduates of our Family to Family signature program. The purpose of this group is to offer continuing support to anyone who has graduated from the program. We meet and talk about what is going on in our lives right now, share information and coping techniques, and in general provide each other with support that enriches our lives.

Join us on the first Thursday of every month and find out for yourself how rewarding it can be to laugh, cry and share.  Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. at the NAMI office located at 5963 Boymel Drive in Fairfield.
