"YOU CAN EMPLOY MEN & WOMEN OR HIRED HANDS TO WORK FOR YOU, BUT YOU HAVE TO WIN THEIR HEARTS TO HAVE THEM WORK WITH YOU" wm.boetcker

Greetings!

So often leaders are frustrated by the inability to motivate their staff or get them to work well together.  When asked what is being done to address this, the "deer in headlights" look is almost certain.  We often need help to see the issues that surround us by an outside observer.  That is one of the many values of utilizing consultants that have proven expertise in facilitating the implementation process for positive change that is sustainable over time.

The above listed essentials of a strong performing organization are just some of the ways that you can improve your workplace...they are essential elements of working smarter, not harder.

There is no organization that doesn't need to make this aspect of their leadership role a priority.  The issue is most often, we just don't know where to begin.  That's where consulting becomes important.

Developing Relationships  Working well together is important no matter what your business
We hear alot about this but we often do not understand what we really need to do.  Some of this is quite basic...assess how you treat one another, learn your leadership/professional work-style to identify areas of weakness and opportunities for development, you have to commit  to changing whatever it is that is necessary.

So what are some ways to ensure positive relationships?

Respecting One Another is Key

Seems easy doesn't it..all we need to do is show respect...we can like everyone if we try!
We are all more the same than different. Rather than believe our way is the right way, we need to understand that each of our differences are important to learn from one another.
There can be serious consequences when we are not respectful to one another...unlawful forms of "disrespect" such as:
  • Harassment
  • Bullying
  • Discrimination
  • Hostility
If we treat others as we hope to be treated...realize we are no better than anyone else and fully adopt my mantra...not to look down on anyone  unless I am picking them up...we can be sure that those around us will feel the respect they deserve.

Relationships become naturally strong and powerful when we respect one another.  Trust, loyalty, teamwork, ultimately the performance of our organization will be optimized by focusing on the importance of strong positive relationship building.

JBM has a two hour training on "Creating a Respectful Environment" that covers the required training such as Harassment in the Workplace, while highlighting the importance of treating one another with respect.  HRWebsource.com also has a Webinar on the topic...click here
