Welcome to JBM Consulting & HR Websource.com
Greetings!
We know those people that always get the recognition for their contributions and that is great! However we are among many individuals day to day that truly make a difference both at work and in their personal lives. For whatever reason, we forget that it is important to let others know when you value them as a person.
While we like to hear what others think we also need to learn how to be content from within.
How do we determine our value? Our selfworth? Do we need others to realize our value? While it is important to receive feedback on how we are doing in the workplace, we have to be sure we are being true to ourselves in performing our work. When we are content from within, the rest falls into place. When we know who we are, it becomes easier to function no matter what we are doing and we will "do it" well.
Learn yourself, your needs, your values and ensure you are in "alignment" in order to truly optimize your success!
Sometimes "life happens" and we forget who we really are or somehow it gets lost. Many of my clients have found the assessment tools that we offer valuable to help them get back on track. If this is you, consider this option available through HRWebsource.com and JBM.

Everyone has a story..Your story needs to come out!
"In the heart of each of us, there is a strong voice of knowing- a song or a story that can remind us of what we most value and long for, what we have known since we were a child" (j kornfield)..."if a story is in you, it has got to come out" (w faulkner).
Through my coaching and group team work it is clear to me that as individuals we often look elsewhere to find out who we are, our value, our purpose and our success. It is important to remind those that see things this way that success comes from within. Success is determined by you realizing and optimizing your potential. Seeking your passion, determining your purpose, that's what it is all about.
Too often we separate our "real selves" from that of who we feel we need to be given the situation. That is where many of us faulter. We lose sight of who we really are trying to become what others want us to be. That's where many people fall short in their performance at work. No matter how hard you try, you will NOT be able to sustain at a level that is in conflict with your innate skills, abilities and values. I see this all the time through my consulting work.
So what do you do? Be yourself, share your story through actions and otherwise. Work is what we do NOT who we are!
If you really think about the people you find intriguing and important, it is often those that are compassionate, sincere, trustworthy, kind and hardworking. It is our "unsung heroes" that most of us truly value but how often do we acknowledge that with those people? While it is important to be content from within, it is equally important that we all show one another through feedback direct and otherwise, that they are appreciated and valued, on a regular basis.
When you follow the path that will create your "story" you will succeed!

Providing Feedback In the workplace we have both formal and informal methods of providing feedback. We need both!
When you stop and think about how important it is for us to feel as though what we do has purpose and value, you will realize how important it is to find the time to evaluate your staff and provide them with the feedback that employees need to optimize their potential. Feedback shows you care, you respect the person and are willing to take the time to express it.
Formally in the workplace there are performance evaluations and processes that need to be a priority for anyone who oversees another individual in a work setting. Without this type of information how does anyone really know he/she is on the "right" path and then secondly, if the effort expended is adequate and valued?
Many feel very uncomfortable with this process. JBM and HR Websource.com provide you with what you need to get through the preparation of such meetings, through the evaluation forms that will help you all the way to the actual meeting itself.
You know this is important...you know this is one of the most important roles of any supervisor or leader..so what's stopping you?
Here is the support you need to guide the process, make it easier and highly effective. If you are more inclined to want to work through this alone, HRWebsource.com has all of the materials, including a webinar on performance management that you will need to be successul through our learning series on Organization Development/Performance (http://www.hrwebsource.com/hr-learning-series-2-organization-development-and-performance). If you would rather have more direct support, contact me. Either way, we will make this process one that you will no longer dread.
If you need assistance on improving your Leadership Skills, we have that as well through our professional coaching. Leadership skills are not necessarily innate but can be effectively developed. Take the time to optimize your own effectiveness in order to be that person your staff members need to be at their best! Throughout learning more about one another, our stories are told and we can work in a manner that provides motivation and continual growth. |
