It's the most wonderful time of the year in Martinsburg and Berkeley County! The upcoming weeks are filled with activities to get you and your family in the holiday spirit.
Main Street Martinsburg will host many holiday events this weekend, including the Snowflake Queen Pageant, carolers, live musical performances, the ceremonial tree lighting, the Olde Town Christmas Parade and, of course, the arrival of St. Nick! Visit their website for a full schedule of events.
The Martinsburg-Berkeley County Public Library will host their annual Cookie Cutter Reception on Friday, December 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Enjoy the holiday decorations while sipping hot chocolate and sampling cookies.
Olde Time Christmas in Hedgesville will also be held on December 3, with activities at shops and churches throughout town from 6 to 9 pm. Holiday caroling and the tree lighting will be at the Town Spring at 7 pm.
DeFluri's Fine Chocolates, located at 130 North Queen Street in Martinsburg, will be giving Tours with Santa on Saturday, December 4 at 11 am, 12 noon and 1 pm. Call 304.264.3698 for more information.

Arts and Crafts Around Town
Looking for unique gifts this holiday? This is the perfect time to support the many artisans in our area and buy your gifts locally.
The Berkeley Arts Council, ArtBerkeley, and Heritage Craft Center have teamed up to present the Holiday Art and Crafts Market at 116 North Queen Street in downtown Martinsburg. The Market will open on December 3 at 3 pm, with a Meet the Artists reception at 5 pm. Featuring fine arts and crafts created by some of the areas finest artists and artisans, the Market will be open thru December 19. Visit www.BerkeleyArtsWV.org for specific days, times and artists.
The Inwood Farmers Market will host the WV Wine & Artisan Show on December 3 and 4 from 10 am to 6 pm. Located at 178 Pilgrim Street in Inwood, the Show will feature WV artisans, foods, wine tastings, demonstrations, and more. Call 304.229.5011 for more information.
Live arts are available right downtown at the Apollo Civic Theatre
with their production of "Little Women, The Musical" on December 10-12 and 17-19. Tickets are available at the door prior to the performance, or in advance by calling 304.263.6766.
Learn to create your own art at the Beginning Woodcarving workshop, hosted by the Heritage Craft Center. Classes will be held on Saturdays from December 4 thru 18 at Crim de la Crim, 137 North Queen Street in Martinsburg.
