Surfactants Newsletter
Greetings!

Producing personal care products can be a costly venture particularly when one wants to produce a cream or lotion. Emulsion preparation requires multiple steps, energy consumption and usually lots of time. Add to all this is a narrow margin for failure, a misstep with temperature or rate of heating or cooling can produce an unacceptable variation on the final formula.

To solve this problem Surfactants, Inc. is pleased to present our newest emulsion concentrate...Surfacare EC.
Surfacare EC

In today's economic environment every penny counts.

Surfacare EC is a new and innovative emulsion concentrate from which a wide variety of lotions and light creams can be produced.... In a single vessel without the need for heating or cooling! When one compares the usual production route to a cream or lotion there is the need to purchase, receive, store and inspect a number of individual component ingredients. In the actual production process sometimes separate mixing vessels are required. Almost always the formula heated sometimes as high as 180 F and then cooled to room temperature, all this energy consumption is costly and when added to the time requirements for completing a full heat and cool cycle, equipment productivity is usually quite low.

Surfacare EC could have been named Surfacare E-Z! Switching to Surfacare EC will save you on many fronts. To produce a cream or lotion, simply add to water at ambient temperature, stir for 15-30 minutes, and add viscosifying agents, fragrance and preservative. You are done and ready to package. Even your financial people will love Surfacare EC, since producing a batch an hour versus maybe a batch a day greatly increases your output and eliminates the need for capital investment for added tanks and processing equipment. The money you save can be targeted to advertising your brand and increasing demand.

The ingredients in Surfacare EC were selected for their excellent sensory properties. They provide a highly elegant feel to the skin.

Surfacare EC, being a concentrated emulsion, can be used at levels as low as 2.5% in applications such as economical wipes, or as high as 40-50% for extra moisturizing skin care formulations.
