This Week at the Columbus County Community Farmers Market
August 31-September 5, 2009 |
Dear ,
Welcome to this edition of our Columbus County Community Farmers Market E-newsletter.
Join us for our Labor Day Celebration on Saturday, September 5, 2009. Come celebrate the last official holiday of summer - Labor Day with free samples, homemade ice cream, recipes & nutritional information.
September is National Honey Month!
Columbus County and our surrounding areas are fortunate to have a strong beekeeper organization - the Columbus County Beekeepers Association. They do a great job educating the public about bees, beekeeping, pollination, and honey production. Local honey and honey-based soaps, lip balm, etc. can be found at the Columbus County Farmers Market on a regular basis.
For more information about honey including free recipes, health advantages of honey, children's activities or to subscribe to a monthly e-newsletter about honey, visit the National Honey Board website at www.honey.com. |
