Making a Positive Difference in the Lives of Youth

Building BridgesThe Columbus County Community Farmers Market is pleased to have helped sponsor the Building Bridges Summer Enrichment Program in Fair Bluff, this summer.

A small monetary contribution helped the students participating in the program purchase seeds and fertilizer as well as provide transportation costs for a recent field trip to the Farmers Market.

Building Bridges CraftsLead teacher and program coordinator, Carol Graham, said the students planted and harvested lots of vegetables and had fun doing crafts.  They have planted pumpkins for a fall harvest.

Their small garden was planted on a farm owned by Fair Bluff resident Chris Scott.
