This Week at the Columbus County Community Farmers Market
June 8-13, 2009 |
Dear ,
Welcome to this edition of our Columbus County Community Farmers Market E-newsletter.
Discover Columbus First
Columbus County Community Farmers Market is pleased to be a "Promoter" member of Discover Columbus First, a regional marketing campaign that targets residents in Brunswick, Horry and New Hanover counties.
Every dollar spent at a local business will return 3 to 5 times that amount to our community through employee wages, sales taxes, property taxes, and purchase of supplies at other local businesses. The DCF campaign promotes economic stability, job growth and entrepreneurial vigor by nurturing and promoting a wide diversity of locally owned businesses in our County.
To Your Good Health
We had a great time recently at the First Annual Family Health Festival in downtown Whiteville. The restored Vineland Depot was a great venue for the more than 350 people who received free health information as well as blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, and other free health screenings.
