Ta-Da!  The "NEW" Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels web site is now available.  We've spent the last few months working to redesign the site to provide easier navigation methods, better graphics, and more information.  We hope you are as delighted with the results as we are.  Check it out at www.kycolonels.org and let us know what you think.  We are also open to suggestions for additional elements that could be added.

Conversation Piece!
Our friends at Olde Master Originals have been producing personalized solid wood items for the Honorable Order for about a decade now.  The products have ranged from beautiful cherry walking sticks to burled maple chests for jewelry and cigars.  Now,Barrell Head  they have come up with a most interesting idea... a Bourbon Barrel Head!  Yes, the wood comes from barrels that have aged some of kentucky's finest.  They are laser engraved with the Honorable Order's logo and personalized with your name and commission date.  If there are two Colonels in your household, a second name can be added in place of the commission date.  The product is ready to hang but also rather large (it was a barrel head after all) weighing about 15 pounds and measuring 21 inches in diameter.  Visit the new items page of the EMPORIUM to order.

SOLD OUT
(again)
Well, almost.  As we dispatch this edition of the E-Pomperoser, only 30 or so tickets remain for the 2012 Kentucky Colonels Day on Millionaire's Row at historic Churchill Downs.  At least 33 USA states (including Hawaii) plus Canada and Mexico will be represented at the November 10 event.

We have a NAVY?
Boat

Last month the "Toronto Command" of Canadian Kentucky Colonels commissioned the Yacht, Rapscallion, as a privateer.  The Yacht is owned by Colonel Dahlijah Rahm and her husband, Fred.  It flies the Kentucky flag and will apparently protect the Commonwealth's interests in Lake Ontario.  The gathering also had a formal dinner and heard from historian, Col. John-Allen Price of Lewiston New York, about the participation of Kentuckians in the War of 1812.  In the photo on the left, Colonel Rahm is front row right.  Col. Price is wearing the coon skin cap (upper right).  Front row center is Col. Stephen Lauten wearing his authentic Kentucky Colonel uniform.
