SMALL(er) FLAG -
Several Colonels have requested a smaller version of the new Kentucky Colonels Flag.  Coming right up! small flagA 12" x 18" version suitable for framing or displaying on a boat or motorcycle is in production with delivery expected March 7.  The cost will be $25.  It can ordered now at the EMPORIUM

UK BRIGADE -
Colonel Stuart Notholt reports plans for establishing the UK Brigade of Kentucky Colonels are progressing.  A meeting is scheduled for April 16 at Counting House, Cornhill, London.  The meeting time is 7pm.  For more details contact Col. Notholt

HEADQUARTERS  -
One of the really fun things about working at Col. Hdq is daily talking with Colonels from all over the country and around the world.  Col. Mary Ann Houchen has been doing so for 2 decades now.  Mary Ann is the organization's Treasurer and manages the Emporium. Her 20th anniversary was last month.
Thank you for remembering the Good Works Program in your charitable giving.

Recurring Donations

Colonel DuPriest of Indiana is a name seen with regularity in the Colonels of Distinction publication.  Not long ago, he offered this suggestion:  "I would like to suggest setting up automatic monthly payments to the good works program thru credit card or checking debit payments.  I think it might increase contributions from some people (myself included) if they could make an automatic contribution each month instead of just one payment per year."  Others have made similar similar suggestions and, we do have several hundred Colonels who make multiple donations each year. AND, we are now pleased to tell you the necessary software has been added to our data base and we are able to set up automatic donation schedules. If this interests you, telephone us at 502-266-6114 or, email  goodworks@kycolonels.org and we will send you a form to fill out to get everything set up.  (The forms will be available for downloading from our web site by week's end.)

Changing times, styles, tastes... maybe all three but whatever, we have to say "so long" to a couple of items in the Emporium collection.  The manufacturer of a style of cap (see photo) that has been a staple with the Emporium has terminated production of the cap.  The Emporium came into existance in the early 1980's.  The caps were among the fircapsst products offered and have remained popular each year since.  As of March 1, we had 19 of the blue caps in stock, 67 of the white.  When they are sold, we will mark the end of an "era". 
We're almost in the top third!
