The Purpose of the Spiritual Quote |
|
Words are energy in motion. They speak directly to the conscious and subconscious mind, which is where we desire the shifts to occur in order to manifest change in our world. Energy always does better when it is reinforced through a larger supply. Enlightenment brings with it that larger supply or a greater degree of light. "Plugging" into that light, so to speak, by focusing our attention, listening to and absorbing the energy that comes through one who is already enlightened and has achieved mastery brings enlightenment and healing. It in effect, will "speed" the progress of those who are less enlightened.
"... Now, never for a moment should you forget that we are judged by the company we keep. If you have friends that you would be ashamed to bring home for your family to meet, there's a reason for that. No one can roll about in the mud with pigs without soiling his clothes and you know that to be true. Even as a young man, honor and dignity is all you have that is your own. No-one can rob you of it if you aren't willing. Do not let an association with unworthy "peers" steal your manliness from you. Guard your integrity and personal honor with all your heart and all of your strength. Your conscience tells you when shame is the likely outcome of an adventure your "friends" are trying to drag you into and you should pay heed. When others around you who would be your friends are trying to entice you to do unethical things or things that are contrary to your own common sense, you must have the strength to say "no". It is no use to be one of the in-crowd if the in-crowd itself is on the wrong side of what is right. Always strive to do what it right whether anyone is watching or not. That's maturity and manliness in action..." "...You must deal with bullies as any man deals with such things; you must make it known you aren't looking for trouble first and foremost...and you must be sincere. Harsh words and a bit of childish ribbing is no cause for a man to resort to physical violence and it's no reason for a boy to do so either. But be firm and strong in your manliness and do not grovel and fawn before this would-be petty tyrant and his threats as a weaker mind would. Simply look him in the eye and tell him you aren't interested in any confrontation and that you'll be leaving. At that point, turn and walk away without another word and with confidence. Now when you turn away be mindful and aware that he just may decide to chase you down. As long as he doesn't put his hands on your person and makes no move to do so, keep walking proud and strong. There is no shame in controlling your animal urges to smash his nose...To be in control of your emotions and faculties is manly after all and that's what we're striving for. Unreasoned violence is for animals..."
