Blog is Featuring Exhibit Details A Rare Look at How an Object Goes on Display
If you haven't been reading the blog for the last two weeks, it has been showing a rare look behind the scenes at how objects are transported to museums, checked in, and put on display. Ever wonder why it takes so long and costs so much? Take a look. If you think that the blog is 'done' - you would be wrong. We have over six-months of material in our databases for blogging! There seems to be no end to the material related to the jacket. Jill is busy working on the blogs to detail the construction of the jacket and coif now. |
Coif and Forehead Cloth Finished Will Join Jacket in 2011 for Exhibition
The blog will be discussing the finishing of the coif soon. It was finished three days before the jacket traveled to Winterthur. A special photo shoot was held to capture the objects together. The coif and forehead cloth will travel for special education events until they join the jacket in 2011. One such event will be held at Rochester Institute of Technology on March 12th. The general public is invited to attend a day of textiles and technology. Read More Details of RIT Events |
I hope you enjoyed the brief update on the Jacket project. Hope to see you next week at the 'opening'.
