Export Achievement Certificate

R&B Cellars wines have been in Thailand and Hong Kong for the last year. Recently they have added Mainland China and Vietnam to their export list. They have partnered with Drunken Dragon in Mainland China and Premier Cellars in Vietnam and are looking at massive distribution channels in these two countries. We are grateful to the Port of Oakland and the US Department of Commerce, who have been intrinsic partners in helping to pave the way for exporting R&B Cellars wines into the Pacific Rim.

RECIPE

Piccadillo (Cuban-style ground beef)

Ingredients:

1.5 lbs ground beef

1 teaspoon dried Oregano

1 teaspoon dried Cumin

1/4 cup Olive Oil

2 Garlic cloves chopped ﬁne

1 Medium white onion chopped ﬁne

1 Small green pepper chopped ﬁne

1/2 Cup dry white wine

1 Cup tomato sauce

8 Green olives pitted & sliced

1 Medium baking potato peeled & cut into small cubes

Salt & ground fresh black pepper seasoned to taste

Preparation:

Combine beef, Cumin & Oregano in a mixing bowl.

Heat the Olive oil in a skillet & cook garlic, onion & green pepper until soft. Add meat, wine &

tomato sauce. Cover and cook over medium to low heat for about 15 minutes.

Add potato and cover & cook a further 15 minutes. Add olives and cook for a further 15

minutes or until liquid is almost fully reduced (making sure the meat is still moist

Salt & pepper to taste

R&B Cellars Goes Global

What an exciting month we have had.

On May 24^th, R&B Cellars was honored by the US Dept. of Commerce in receiving an Export Achievement Certificate, presented by the Undersecretary of Commerce, Francisco Sanchez. The luncheon and celebration took place at Miss Pearl's Jamhouse in Oakland's Jack London Square. It was a great event, and we think we showed Undersecretary Sanchez a taste of superb California hospitality! This award is in honor of the exporting business R&B Cellars has undertaken in Vietnam, Mainland China, Thailand and Hong Kong. R&B Cellars is the first East Bay winery to receive this award.

On June 5^th, R&B hosted a US ASEAN Ambassador Reception at their winery for four US Ambassadors and numerous dignitaries from a number of Pacific Rim nations and the US Department of Commerce. Among the guests were the Ambassadors to Indonesia, Brunnei Darussalem, Singapore and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN). This all took place in the geodesic dome, out at the facility on the old Naval Air Base, with unparalleled views of the San Francisco skyline, fantastic cuisine by Bistro Zafari, a jazz duo (which was augmented by Kevin and Barbara later in the event!), and a line-up of our delicious wines. We also served the superb wines of our Alameda Point Vintners partners at the event.

All of this is to say, R&B continues to expand its horizons, both in the United States and internationally. We are actively contracting with additional vineyards in order to accommodate our increasing production requirements. We're looking to add to our family of R&B wines. Stay tuned for updates!
