Final NLRA Notice Requirements Issued

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has issued a Final Rule requiring most private-sector employers - including those without a union in the workplace - to notify employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) by posting a notice. The rule was published in the Capitol Building Federal Register on Aug. 30, 2011, and will take effect 75 days later.

Employers must post the notice by Nov. 14, 2011. Copies of the notice will be available on the NLRB website and from NLRB regional offices by Nov. 1.
