Visit the Free Wall on March 20th, 11am-4pm. The public is invited to join in on the exciting return of the hugely successful Mobile Free Wall Activity along The Embarcadero at Howard Street.

The program sets up a giant, temporary wall to act as a canvas where urban artists and the public can gather to practice their creative skills.

Free Wall

The Free Wall is a collaboration pilot project between the San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) and the Department of Public Works (DPW) to give artists a space to practice their craft. It is important to give young artists opportunities and a place to create; and to recognize the idea that the difference between art and vandalism is permission. Check out the photos from September 2010.

See you there! Let's hope for a sunny day!
