We have so many exciting things going on right now! We launched the Affinity Express blog this week. Vice President of Graphic Production and Support Services Joanna Grant is just back from the ASI Show in New York. We started our Facebook and Twitter profiles last month in order to connect with you better. And Joanna Grant had an article published in the current issue of Supplier Global Resource, “The Benefits of Outsourcing Your Artwork Needs.”

Joanna Grant was at the ASI Show in New York earlier this month. She had a great time interacting with customers, prospects and partners.

Joanna says, "The ASI Show! New York is a unique event. While traffic is not as busy as the other gatherings held throughout the year, attendance includes industry leaders who are there for the exciting Counselor Awards ceremony. This made it a great networking show. This year’s ceremony was held at the recently renovated Plaza Hotel. The crowd enjoyed the stunning décor and wonderful food. ASI does not disappoint when it comes to hosting glamorous events."

According to Joanna Grant, “Outsourcing to a reputable vendor offers a variable-cost approach to managing your business needs . . . Moving from a fixed to a variable cost model usually saves businesses 20%-30%.”

She believes outsourcing artwork requirements to a reputed vendor enables companies better manage volumes and demand fluctuations. She outlines seven main reasons why companies should consider outsourcing:

  1. Direct costs
  2. Predictable turnaround times
  3. Faster turnaround times
  4. The ability to combine services
  5. Better and specialized technology
  6. Broader skills
  7. Access to a ‘virtual’ art department

Director of Sales Reggie Gonzalez on the ASI Show at San Diego:

Affinity Express at the ASI Show, San Diego

“The first ever ASI Show in San Diego was a wonderful surprise of new faces, old clients and new prospects. Suppliers were wondering how this show was going to turn out and, to our delight, the show was attended by many ASI distributors—we had more than 80 visit our exhibit. As usual, several Affinity Express clients came by to thank us for making their daily business so much easier and more profitable. In addition, our exposure to suppliers at this well-run conference and trade show was also an extra benefit to Affinity Express.”
