ISEA's 21st sailing season is now well underway. Already we have passed our 80,000th student milestone, and we are looking forward to the remaining school classes this spring. In mid-June we switch gears and begin our summer schedule with a 2-day/night research program with high school girls sponsored by Zonta International. We have a wide variety of programs available this summer for youth, families and adults.  Please help us get the word out about our summer programs by forwarding this newsletter to anyone you think might be interested.  Hope to see you aboard this summer!

 80,000th student
On Wednesday, May 20th, Inland Seas welcomed the 80,000th Schoolship student aboard the schooner Inland Seas. Based on records kept by ISEA from the program's inception in 1989, Mykela Wilson stepped aboard Inland Seas during the morning program with students from Northport Public Schools.  After the sail, ISEA's Executive Director Tom Kelly presented Mikela with an ISEA book bag and water bottle as reminders of her day on the Schoolship.  Congratulations to Mikela and the 79,999 other students who have made the Schoolship a great learning experience!

A Great Lakes Legacy

Making a bequest to Inland Seas Education Association is a very easy way to create your own Great Lakes Legacy. The preservation of our Great Lakes will remain a critical task for many years to come, and by planning a future gift to Inland Seas, you may be able to give a larger gift, and make a greater difference, than you ever thought possible.
