Unfortunately, we did not get enough folks to register for the November 16 event on Speed Peer Consulting to make it meaningful so it has been cancelled.  Oh well, it was a different idea and worth a try.  Maybe we'll give a it shot another time.

We have one more event planned for 2010, focused on capitalizing on the great network of talent we have in the Community.  Over 300 folks are connected in our network so we're trying to take advantage of all that brain power and experience!
  • Friday, December 3 - Kick Off and Overview of Consulting Mastermind Groups

More details are below.

We are also firming up ideas for 2011 so check out some of the Coming Attractions.

Consulting Mastermind Groups

Free Breakfast Briefing - December 3

Just starting out and looking for ideas and support to grow your consulting practice?

Been in business but looking for ways to take it to the next level?

I've had many requests to consider developing a more structured, richer approach to helping folks learn from their colleagues in the Community . . . something more then the large group events.   As a result, we will be kicking off Consulting Mastermind Groups as another component to our Community.

Mastermind groups have been successfully used by many small business owners to sharpen their business skills, to grow their businesses, and to grow personally.  We're going to capitalize on that success and apply it specifically to the business of consulting.

A Mastermind Group is not a class, is not group coaching, and is not a referral group.  It is a combination of group facilitation, peer brainstorming, and mutual learning, support and accountability in a small group setting.  The purpose and direction is set by the group.  There is a financial commitment.

I  envision two levels of groups.  One for those just starting their consulting practice and another for more experienced consultants who want to kick their practice up a notch.

The free Mastermind Group Breakfast Briefing is scheduled for Friday, December 3.  This will be a no-obligation opportunity to learn more and to contribute to the design of the Consulting Mastermind Groups.

Coming Attractions - 2011

I received several great ideas for 2011 events.  Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and assistance.  Here's what we're working on for the coming year:
  • Chad Barr, will be back by popular demand to keep us up to date on innovative web solutions and strategies, combined with effective and practical marketing concepts.
  • Value-Based Fees is a hot topic - how to provide greater value, grow revenue, and move away from per diems.
  • Using Constant Contact as an effective marketing tool.
  • Communication Skills for Consultants - how to show up more powerfully and communicate more effectively to get the results you want.

New Payment Policy

We will only be accepting on-line payments for PCC Events.

Unfortunately, we've had too many folks register and indicate that they will pay at the door and then not show up or cancel in advance.  As a result, even though we have a great turn out, we did not cover the food, drink and facility costs.  I've had to pay for the difference myself.  That's clearly not sustainable so we'll need to change our approach.  Only on-line payments in advance will be accepted for all future events.  Cancellations received 24 hours in advance will be fully refunded.

Note:  If this is a significant burden for you, please get in touch with Michael Couch (Michael@mcassociatesinc.com) and we can work out options.
