| Traverse City, MI - The Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area, Inc. honored the recipients of their 2008 Annual Awards at the Waterfront Conference Center on Monday, December 8. These awards are given out on an annual basis to recognize HBAGTA Members for their contributions to the Association, the Building Industry, and/or the Community. Nominations for these prestigious awards come from peer members of the Home Builders Association.
This year's recipients are:
JIM ALPERS AWARD: Given to an Associate Member who has a high level of participation and professional commitment that Jim Alpers embodied.
- Denny Lauterbach - Floor Covering Brokers
HUMANITARIAN AWARD: Given to an HBAGTA member for making outstanding, dedicated contributions to the betterment of the community.
- Scott Williams - Brown Lumber
EMERGING LEADER AWARD: Given to a member for their immediate and consistent participation.
- Bill Packer, CAPS, CGR - Packer Builders, Inc.
SUPPORT MEMBER OF THE YEAR: Given to a support member for their involvement and participation in Association activities
- Max Strickland, Burkholder Construction Company
DISTINGUISHED BUILDER AWARD: Given to a Builder Member who demonstrates a true sense of professionalism and ethical business practices.
