This sermon was preached by the Rev. Richmond Webster
on Sunday, September 19, 2010 and is based on Luke 16:1-13.

ECW First Monday to Feature Margot Shaw
A Mid-Life Bloom: The Testimony Behind the Blossoming of the Nation's Only Floral Lifestyle Magazine
October 4, 11:15 Fellowship - 11:30 Program - Luncheon follows - Childcare available
All women are invited to come and hear Margot Shaw, editor-in-chief of flower magazine. Margot attests that she became a "flower person" only within the last eight years. While working for floral designer Sybil Sylvester in her downtown shop, Margot was converted. "I was able to see not only the aesthetic value of working with flowers, I was a witness to the healing powers as well," She explains. After scouring stores for a magazine that reflected her newfound passion for flowers, she came up empty. This was part of how flower was born. flower's inaugural year proved Margot's initial inkling to be a well-founded one. "I am daily encouraged by the phenomenal response from both our readers and professionals in the field," she says. "There's something in this magazine for everybody who loves flowers." Margot is married to the Rev. Gates Shaw.
