Sunday Lectionary Readings July 26 Eighth Sunday After Pentecost, Year B
2 Samuel 11:1-15 Psalm 14 Ephesians 3:14-21 John 6:1-21
O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Do You Know Someone
Who Will Need A Paper Dialogue?
As mentioned last week, we are pleased to offer the Dialogue weekly and will send it electronically, unless a request is made to have it mailed to you. Chances are that if you are reading this announcement, you are content with receiving your Dialogue via email! However, some in our parish may not have access to or be comfortable with electronic communication. If you know someone who needs to continue receiving the Dialogue by regular mail, please contact Nancy Cain (ncain@saint-lukes.com or 802-6200). Thank you!
The final printing for the current paper Dialogue will be for the issue dated August 2 and 9.

Adult Education
Sneak Preview For Fall!
Our first three Sundays this fall, we will hear a report from the Rev. Richmond Webster on the Continuum of Discipleship at Saint Luke's with special emphasis on the first leg of our Christian journey: Meeting Jesus. In keeping with this theme, on Wednesday nights we'll gather for an engaging and thought-provoking introduction to Jesus Christ through the films of Rob Bell. Many who enjoyed these films in Sunday school say they look forward to watching them again, and there are several we haven't seen yet. On Sunday mornings, in the fall, look for a class on parenting, new and improved based on last fall's experience, and, of course, a class on the lectionary readings. Does this whet your appetite? Look for more information on more fall offerings in the weeks to come!
