Trevor was born and raised in Hawaii, and graduated from the
volleyball powerhouse, Punahou High School. Trevor went on to become the number 1
recruit in the nation in 1986 and decided to join UCLA and coach Al
Scates. At UCLA, his team won two National Championships and
he was a three time All-American and the National Player of the Year in
1989. Many of the collegiate records set by Trevor 20 years ago still
stand today.
Trevor joined the USA
National team in 1990 and earned medals in the World Cup, World Championships,
and Norceca Championships.
Trevor married fellow Bruin and women's volleyball All-american Ann
(Boyer) Schirman in 1991. Trevor came to Temecula in September 2008 to
open the fourth location of Off Road Warehouse. In doing so he gave up
his coaching position at Grossmont High School in El Cajon and is
currently assisting at Great Oak High.
Trevor has coached club and high school volleyball for a number of
years, and he and his wife have run their own volleyball camps across
the country. Trevor feels strongly that his success was directly related
to quality of the coaching he received throughout his career. His goal
at Viper is to pass on the knowledge, experiences and lessons that he
has accumulated over his career. He is looking forward to helping each
young athlete become the best person and volleyball player they can be. Trevor is going to bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the Elite teams this coming season. Here are some of his accolades:

1987 & 1989 UCLA Mens National Champion

Brianna Koche
This
will be Brianna's first year coaching with the Vipers. She is currently the
First Assistant Coach at UC Riverside, coaching under the 2008 Olympic
Gold Medal winning coach Ron Larsen. Before coaching at
UC Riverside, Brianna was the Assistant Coach at the University of
Maryland Baltimore County, and helped coach the team to a 3rd place
finish in the America East Conference during the 2008 season. Brianna has
coached club teams at Encinitas Wave and TCA Baltimore, and we are
extremely excited to have her on the Vipers' staff. Brianna will bring a lot of experience to Viper's Elite and future college players this season.
Brianna played for
UC San Diego and finished her career as a Division II First Team
All-American and lead her team to the Elite 8 in 2006. As a club
player, Brianna has won a gold, silver and bronze medal at the Junior
Olympics in 16 Open, 18 Open and 14 Open, respectively. In 2001,
Brianna won a Division I State Championship at Archbishop Mitty High
School in San Jose, CA.
Dani SchultThis will be Dani's first year coaching with Viper Volleyball. Dani was a competitive player in high school, club and college. Dani has been coaching volleyball camps and giving private lessons
in San Diego and Atlanta for the past six years. In addition, for the
past two years she coached club teams in Atlanta with Tsunami
Volleyball Club. In 2009, she took the Head Coaching position at
Linfield High School and will be joining the Viper staff.
Dani loves that volleyball is centered on the team, on a group of
young women or men working together for common goals. At Emory, her
team became her family and that is the type of caring, supportive, and
competitive environment that she wants to create for her teams at Viper.
Dani recently finished her college career in 2008. As captain, Dani
led Emory University's team to win the NCAA DIII National Championship
in 2008, which was a first for Emory volleyball. The team was very
unique and the NCAA recognized three of the players as All-Americans,
and five as All-Conference selections, including myself. In addition,
Dani was recognized as an Academic All-American, received an NCAA
Post-Graduate Scholarship and is currently one of the nine finalists
for the 2008 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. It was truly a remarkable
season.
