Greetings from Communities In Schools!
Wrapping up the school year is a busy time in the education world, with end of year testing, awards and moving up ceremonies, and of course graduation! You may think the pace eases up in June, but in fact the summer months are just as busy for CIS, with two community events and preparing for school opening in August. We hope you enjoy your summer plans, but we also hope you won't forget CIS and the students we serve!
Two very easy ways to support us and stay connected during the summer include dining out on June 21 in support of Dine Out For Kids, and in August, donating school supplies as part of the School Tools Campaign. Summer is also a good time to complete a volunteer application to be ready to serve as a School Buddy/Mentor or Academic Coach when school starts in the fall. And, if you want to be inspired and you simply enjoy celebrating with friends while helping to support a worhty organization and its mission, you will not want to miss the music, guest remarks, and outstanding spread of delicious southern cuisine at Lowcountry on the Green on September 17! |
