NOTES FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents,
Parent-teacher conferences will begin the week of November 7th. Please contact your child's teacher to arrange a conference and receive information regarding your child's progress.
Halloween is so much fun for children - dressing up, trick or treating, and singing Halloween songs. It is tempting to take "just a little bit of candy" to school but we are asking parents to help your child keep candy at home. Tummy aches, headaches and feeling tired by midday can be avoided if the candy stays home!
Coffee with Katie is coming up this Friday, November 4th at 9:00 a.m. This is an informal drop-in event and an opportunity chat with the principal. Don't miss it!
The Site Council has revised the Dress Code. Please take a moment to review it with your child. The fashions we are seeing are cute but not always school friendly. Please help your child understand that different occasions call for different kinds of clothing requirements.
Finally, cooler weather has arrived. Don't forget to label clothing and personal articles with your child's name so it can be easily identified if lost. Have a super start to November!

"Pink Ladies"
LAGUNA TEACHERS TO PARTICIPATE IN
THE SUSAN G. KOMEN 3-DAY FOR THE CUREŽ
Becca Alvarado, Kim Sullivan, and Abbey Bobbett will be participating in The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the CureŽ November 11th -13th. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the CureŽ is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds from The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the CureŽ are invested in breast cancer research and community programs.
Ms. Alvarado is a two time breast cancer survivor, and many of our Laguna staff have been affected by this disease. All three ladies need to raise $2,300 in order to walk in this event. We appreciate your support this week by sending in money to purchase flowers, tattoos (washable), and wristbands. Thank you for helping all of us to come closer to our goal.
