Special Neighborhood Meetings
FPNA Meeting With Kinder Morgan
At its June 21 meeting, the FPNA Board will host a representative from the pipeline company Kinder Morgan for a discussion of its proposal to cut trees on its easement through Forest Park in the fall. Since FPNA will be invited to comment as part of a review by Portland's Bureau of Development Services, the meeting will be an excellent opportunity to understand and possibly take a position on the Kinder Morgan cut. FPNA invites all interested residents to attend the board meeting, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at 360 NW Greenleaf Ave.
AHNA Meetings on Skateboarding and Parking Issues
The Arlington Heights Neighborhood Association will be having two special meetings in June and July. On Wednesday, June 29, AHNA will meet with Rick Williams, the parking consultant hired by the Washington Park Alliance to work on parking and traffic issues in the park.
On Monday, July 18, there will be a special meeting with Portland Bureau of Transportation director Tom Miller and PBOT engineering staff to discuss possible remedies to skateboarding problems on neighborhood streets.
Both meetings will be at 5:30 at the Sylvan Fire Station, 1715 SW Skyline Blvd. For more about these issues, visit the AHNA website.

Coffee and Conversation With Neighbors
Stay tuned for a new series of opportunities to share and learn with Neighbors West-Northwest. We'll be hosting coffee klatsches throughout our neighborhoods on a variety of topics. Based on the responses we received from our survey, neighbors want to learn from each other. We'll be inviting experienced and novice volunteers to join us for coffee and conversations on emergency preparedness, parking, and other important neighborhood issues. If you would like to have a particular topic discussed, or have a great idea for a business we should patronize for one of our gatherings, email Alison. We'll be announcing locations and topics in our e-newsletter, in the NW Examiner, and at neighborhood meetings.
