NWNW Fundraiser Performance
Reasons to Be Pretty
Join us for a special fundraising preview performance of Reasons to Be Pretty by Neil La Bute on Thursday, May 12th. A love story about the impossibility of love, Reasons to Be Pretty introduces us to Greg, who really truly adores his girlfriend, Steph. Unfortunately, he also thinks she has a few physical imperfections, and when he casually mentions them, all hell breaks loose. This performance contains adult language and situations.
Coho Productions donates a showing of one play a year to benefit Neighbors West-Northwest. This is your opportunity to see great theater, talk with neighborhood activists from across our area, and enjoy delicious refreshments. Thursday, May 12th the reception begins at 7:00 PM and the performance starts at 8:00 PM. Buy your tickets today for $20 a piece, or $15 for students, seniors and educators. Tickets can be purchased online (type Coho in the 3rd search box), or call 503-205-0715. If you have any questions about the fundraiser please contact NWNW directly at 503-823-4288.

Solarize NW: Extension Until May 15th!

The price goes down when more neighbors join in! Neighbors West-Northwest has already recruited many homeowners in Northwest and Southwest Portland for a bulk purchase of solar electric systems for their homes. Now, we want more homeowners to take advantage of this unique opportunity to go solar at a ridiculously low price. The registration deadline for the Solarize Northwest Portland campaign has been extended to May 15, 2011. Solarize Portland neighborhood projects are designed to simplify the process of going solar and bring cost reductions through volume purchasing. Free workshops make the process easy to understand by covering topics such as the size of system to purchase, budgeting and financing, and how to get started. Our next workshop will be Saturday, May 7th from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM at West Sylvan Middle School. We'll also be scheduling open houses for interested individuals to see an installed solar system. Sign up by May 15th to receive your free solar site assessment. Sign up is only a phone call or email away, just be ready with your name, phone number, email, and address. You can call or email Alison Wallisch, 503-823-4265 or email. You can also sign up on our website now. This is your best opportunity to buy a solar system - the prices of incentives are supposed to decrease in 2012! |
