Downtown Meeting on Urban Agriculture

Join the Portland Downtown Neighborhood Association to discuss urban agriculture. Guests include Leslie Pohl-Kosbau (from Portland Community Gardens), Marc Boucher-Colbert (an Urban agriculture expert), and Erin Altz (from Edible Skylines LLC).

Old Town-Chinatown Elections

The next meeting of the OTCT Neighborhood Association is the annual elections to the board of directors.  Attend the meeting to learn about neighborhood activities, elect directors, or volunteer to serve on the board.

Date & Time:  Tuesday, March 2nd, 4:30 to 6:30 pm

Nikkei Interns

Oregon Nikkei is currently looking for interns to help with two special events scheduled for July.  These events are the perfect way to learn about Japanese American history, gain practical event planning and fundraising experience, and to make useful contacts.  Oregon Nikkei Endowment is a Japanese American historical organization dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Japanese Americans in the Northwest.  Contact Mari Watanabe to volunteer to help. 
Community Budget Forums

Public input is critical to bureaus setting  budget priorities, anBudgetd you can participate in the Community Budget Forums.  To learn more about the budget or find other opportunities to provide input, click here.

Cash for Conservation

Do you have a conservation project that you need help getting off the ground?  West Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting an event to help landowners find the funding they need to do the right thing.  Representatives from the City of Portland, WMSWCD, and Metro will talk about their programs.  Learn more here.

Graffiti Removal Training

Learn how to stop the spread of graffiti in your neighborhood at this free graffiti removal training.

Linnton Forest Park Stewardship Day

Come celebrate the Vernal Equinox on Saturday, March 20th, by joining us for Forest Park Stewardship Day.  Help us remove invasive plants so that our woods can put on its lovely native garments of fresh beautiful leaves and sweet blossoms.  Please click here for more information or email Mike Aspros.
