Volunteer and Student Appreciation Picnic

The picnic was a huge success!  A good time was had by all!
Thanks to Jack Montgomery and friends for providing the music.  Jeanne Brittingham and Karen Graham were the photographers.  It was a beautiful evening.  The food was delicious, thanks to Stone Soup.  The atmosphere was very festive and fun!

Meet Trotter

Trotter

Tryon has Morris, TROT has Trotter.  You never know when Trotter will appear, but when he does you can be sure TROT is not far behind.
Trotter made his debut at the picnic. As you can see, he was warmly welcomed.  Be on the lookout, as Trotter will be around and about.

                                    LISA MURPHY

Lisa has been involved with TROT since its inception. She is just as enthusiastic today, as she was eight years ago. Lisa brings much compassion, knowledge, dependability, and stability to TROT.  We could not do it without her.

Thank you and congratulations, Lisa!

DESI

Desi
TROT was fortunate enough to have Desi join our volunteer herd last Spring.  You would never have known it was his first time being a therapy horse.  He is a "young" PRO !  Desi is five years old, and has had extensive training in order to become a mounted patrol horse.  He is owned and loved by Sue Truitt, trainer of Polk County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol.  On TROT days Sue would say to Desi, "Let's go see your friends" and he would hop right on the trailer.  But, on the way home it was a different story.  It took quite a bit of coaxing for Desi to get back on that trailer and leave his friends.

Welcome Desi.  We are so glad to have you!
