BRYANT & STRATTON COLLEGE expands FINANCIAL PLANNING PROGRAMS TO MEET NEW JOB DEMANDS

Buffalo - Bryant & Stratton College (BSC) announced a major expansion of its financial planning program where students can now complete the Certified Financial Planner™ Education Program entirely online. Starting in fall 2009, the expanded program will provide students with greater employment opportunities in the industry while offering increased flexibility with class schedules.
"We're seeing an increase in demand for financial planners for two basic reasons," said Jack Mitchell, vice president of the Professional Skills Center for the college. "First is the basic supply and demand of the industry. More people are now seeking consultation on their financial future. At the very same time many baby boomers are beginning to retire and they too require more guidance from professionals."
"We have worked closely with industry professionals and leading academic publishers to develop an online program that meets the continuing education needs of busy financial service professionals," said Evan Wardner, director of CFP® certification education programs at the college.
The new Online CFP®Certification Education Program builds on the success of Bryant & Stratton's current program, which offers courses in insurance, tax, estate, personal financing, investment and retirement planning in a traditional classroom setting. The new online program provides busy professionals with the support and flexibility they need to prepare for the CFP® Certification Exam entirely online. Courses within the CFP® certification start every two months, and feature webinar conferences, discussion boards, access to the college's virtual library and self-paced training. Online sessions are led by experienced professionals from the industry and are vibrant and interactive. Students can enroll in the full CFP® certification program, or individual courses, based on their personal and professional needs.
