Hansen's Ground Beef
|
|
More Information
Our ground beef comes from our cows, which are fed
a roughage based or grass diet. However, they do not
graze. Cows are dry-lot fed and live outdoors when
the weather permits. We use no artificial growth
hormones in our cows. The ground beef is 96% lean
and all cuts of the cow are used in the ground beef,
which means the meat is full of flavor.
There are no added preservatives or fillers used
during processing (Mark's Locker - Rowley, IA).
We sell one pound bulk packages for $3.99.
One pound patties (4 per pound) are $4.19
One pound stew meat is $4.29 and requires more
cooking as the meat is tougher.
1/2 pound smoked cured beef sells for $3.65.
We are also debuting a new product, one pound
bacon burgers for $4.19.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Lillie Mae Chocolates from Marshalltown
We'd like to welcome Lillie Mae Chocolates from
Marshalltown, Iowa to our stores. Lillie Mae Candies
opened in 1939 on Main Street in Marshalltown. Once
the candy and chocolate operations were expanded
and remodeled, visitors were able to watch the
chocolates being hand-dipped.
Old Fashioned Caramels are made with Hansen's
cream and come in original, nutty, chocolate covered,
or Tor-Tush (nutty caramel covered with luscious milk
chocolate and tipped in white).
We are also selling handmade turtles and hand
dipped chocolates and creams. What a great addition
to any holiday party or as a gift in itself!
Stop in and see the selection at the Moo Roo.

Comments and Suggestions about Land
|
|
From Valued Customers
Are you going to remodel the current house or tear it
down? Are you going to move the Outlet there? If so
what about selling 'homemade' breads, scones,
jams, jellies pies, etc? The Cedar Falls Farmers
Market has some vendors whose products are VERY
GOOD and popular!! Also adding tables where
people
could sit and visit like your Moo Roo store would be
great!!! Bringing flavoured coffees, tea, and hot
chocolate would be wonderful to sit and drink with the
'homemade' goodies and of course your
SCRUMPTIOUS ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't have
enough places in C.F. to take or meet a friend at.

I think you should build another scoop shop, like Moo
Roo, but also serve soft serve, on your land on Waterloo
Road.

THANK YOU!
We thank the folks at Blueridge Orchard in Denver for
bringing fresh, packaged apples to our Outlet in Cedar
Falls. They were a big
hit and appreciated. There was a good variety of
apples, and they were very well displayed. If you have
any comments, please let us know.
Should be bring them back next year??

Cow of the Month
|
|
Gobble
November's Cow of the Month is Gobble. She has a
good name to denote the Thanksgiving turkey season
and is a nice cow to work with. In her first year of
milking, she produced 23,300 pounds or 46,600
glasses of milk for you to gobble up at your table. As
you can
see by the photo, Gobble has some of the more
unusual markings of the herd. She also has been a
rare cow in that both of the calves she's given birth to
have been red and white. Gobble wishes everyone a
Happy Thanksgiving!
