Comments from Customers

Thanks for sharing with us!

We continually receive comments from customers who are benefiting from Hansen's Milk, which is unhomogenized. These people have dealt with issues such as lactose intolerance, Crohns disease, digestive problems, and rashes. One of the main differences between Hansen's milk and other milk is that it is not homogenized. Homogenization mechanically atomizes milk particles. Pressure processed milk stays in suspension and you do not have to shake. Please note that pasteurization is the method that kills bacteria. It does not remove the bacteria.

If you have had health conditions improve by using Hansen's milk, ice cream, butter, etc., we would like to have a note from you to share with others. Send an email to info@hansendairy.com or leave a note in the comment box at the Moo Roo or outlet store. Our hope is that more people will be encouraged to try and perhaps, enjoy dairy, based on your comments

Thanks!

We now have fresh, frozen, free range chickens for sale. They are available whole or cut-up. Chickens come from the farm of Craig & Darlene Groothuis of Nashua. They also provide the eggs and lamb we have for sale.

Cow of the Month

Dwarf
dwarf

June's cow of the month is Dwarf. This cow really lives up to her name, as you can see by her picture! She has short legs and a gigantic body. She may be smaller than the rest of the herd, but she is the boss. "If anybody tries to push her around, I guarantee that they will never do that again. She will fight for her rights, especially at the feed bunk," says herd manager Blake Hansen. But, this "Low Rider" (as she is sometimes called) is a hard worker and will put a smile on your face. Dwarf is almost 9 years old and has had three heifers and two bulls. She is due again on 8/19/08. She has milked 156,450 pounds in her lifetime - enough for 312,900 8-oz glasses of milk!

Hansen's Milk In Marshalltown

Hansen's Milk is now available at Vincent's Healthy Nutrition, Southgate Plaza Area, 3101 So. Center Street Marshalltown, IA 641-751-9112

Did You Know?

All cheese is naturally white. Yellow is a dye used for distinguishing characteristics. Therefore, yellow and white curds don't taste different because of the color. Taste differences are due to the cultures used, procedures used to make the cheese, and the quality of milk used.
