Greetings!
I'm back home in Lehigh Valley, PA after an amazing 3-week experience on the Hawaiian Islands! One of the things I learned while there was the meaning behind "Ahola". Most of us recognize the word as a Hawaiian greeting; however, it is actually an acronym created from 5 Hawaiian words:
A = Akahai: Kindness, expressed with tenderness L = Lokahi: Unity, expressed with harmony O = Olu'olu: Agreeable, expressed with pleasantness H = Ha'aha'a: Humility, expressed with modesty A = Ahonui: Patience, expressed with perseverance
When greeting each other with "Aloha", we wish these things for one another. No wonder I was smitten by the Hawaiian culture... it reminded me of yogic culture and I felt right at home! :)
Having been immersed in the Aloha-spirit these past few weeks, I am eager to share ALOHA with you all in the form of yoga classes, workshops and my soon-to-be-launched yoga DVD (more on that soon!)

DESCRIPTION: Hatha
Yoga emphasizes breathing, awareness and proper body alignment. In
this "Hatha Flow" class, we incorporate gentle movement with our yoga poses creating
a dynamic dimension to the regular hatha practice.
