Greetings!
"Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." -- Unknown
This is one of my favorite quotes and I think it's such a timely and appropriate metaphor to explain how practicing yoga and meditation can help us in our daily lives.
Lately, it seems as though we may be collectively passing though some stormy times with all the news we hear about the financial industry, the economy, the state of politics, etc. Still, I feel we are in a time of amazing opportunity to bring about much needed growth and change in all of these areas and many others.
But certainly, as with most change, there may be some bumps along the way. And whether it's issues that face all of us or problems specific to our own lives, they may sometimes seem too big to handle. During those times, it is easy to question, "What can I do?"
This is where our own personal yoga and meditation practices can help us. As I see it, yoga and meditation connect us with essential life skills - integral knowledge on how to address uncomfortable and even scary situtations with calm, clarity and grace.
Even when some problems appear larger than life, it still starts with the individual. Just imagine if we are all able to address our own "personal storms" with grace and clarity... this most certainly creates a positive cumulative effect on the collective.
The knowledge is within all of us - we have simply "disconnected" ourselves from it. And that is why I invite you to come share in this experience with me - the experience of learning how to "dance in the rain."
I look forward to seeing you soon! Be Well and Enjoy, Sheetal
