  You and your children are invited to come and play with others from the First Covenant Church nursery, toddlers, and Pre-K classes. It is a time full of child's play and adult conversation. A great place to connect with others who have children the same age! Bring your lunch. We are looking forward to a great year of fun! Hope to see you there! 
Parking is $5 or free on Skyline Blvd. If it's raining we will meet at the church in the Toddler Room.

You can download the Registration form online. Go to www.oaklandfcc.org to download and print registration form and turn into FCC office or pick-up registration in front office of FCC

Our New Summer SS Coordinator
Emily Luton
Emily Luton will be taking responsibility for the recruitment of summer Sunday school staff and the coordination of the summer Sunday school programming.  Please do whatever you can to encourage Emily as she staffs the programs that are organized for your children on summer Sundays, beginning June 21st.  She is now looking for folks to help with our 7 week combined-age (PreK through grade 5) Treasure Seekers program beginning June 21st.  Look for Emily and tell her you'd like to schedule a few Sundays to help out.  It will make her day!


SUMMER SUNDAYS FOR KIDS
 Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 5
*Children will be promoted in the fall*
Beginning date:  JUNE 21 
Please take note of new format

 
At the 9:30 hour:
    FIRST HOUR will be our FAMILY 
    WORSHIP
time this summer
 
   AGES: Pre-Kindergarten through grade 5
   will attend worship with parents and then
   be dismissed to a "movie with a Bible-
   values theme".
 
 PARENT MOVIE SUPERVISION ASSIGNMENTS: 
   Parents will receive their assignments in
   the mail (snail mail)
 
   WHERE: Younger children's movie will be
   in the Treehouse Building's Pre-K Sunday
   school room and older children's movie will
   be in the Treehouse building's 1st/2nd 
   grade Sunday school room.
 
NURSERY AND TODDLERS MEET AS USUAL

At the 11:00 hour:
 
June 21 through August 2:
   SECOND HOUR will be a full hour of  
  TREASURE SEEKERS Sunday School led by
  Deborah Woo, who will also be working  
  with Day Camp!
 
AGES: PreKindergarteners through grade 5. 
  Our graduating 5th graders will be invited
  to be Leaders in Training for our younger
  children and buddy-up with our Pre-K's.
 
  WHERE: ALL Children will meet in
  Children's Church (middle school)  
  room for music and story-time then
  they will divide up as
  follows with adult volunteers:
   ·Pre-K & K - go to the Kindergarten
      room TH building (5th grade LIT's go
      with them.)
   · Grades 1 & 2 - go to the 1st/2nd grade
     Sunday school room at the top of the
     stairs in TH building
   · Grades 3 & 4 - go to the Greenhouse
     garage classroom
 
August 9 through September 6:
SECOND HOUR will change to
MISSIONS 4 US. 
As we have done for the past few summers, this will be a special time to hear from people in our congregation who are from other countries or have traveled with a mission group.  They will help us understand better what God is doing in other countries.
 
AGES: Kindergarten through grade 5 only
*(see below for Pre-K children schedule)
 
WHERE: Children (K-5th Grade) continue to meet in the Children's Church room for beginning but may move to another room with tables if needed.  A sign will be posted for pick-up.
 
*PRE-KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN: Ginny Halstead will lead the Pre-Kindergarten children in 5 Sundays of "Walking With Jesus" at the 11:00 hour.

HOW CAN YOU HELP MAKE SUMMER SUNDAYS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY  FOR YOUR CHILDREN?
  • HELP OUT:  If everyone helps, our kids benefit.  Emily Luton will be the Coordinator of the summer program, Nursery through Grade 5, let her know what you can do. emilyluton@yahoo.com
  • ENCOURAGE OUR INTERN: Try to get your children into Treasure Seekers on time (by 11:00) so Deborah Woo can have a great group to start her program with.
