MiniSurgery Just for Women

St. Francis is dedicated to becoming a trusted advocate when it comes to your health. We offer a variety of women's health care services to our patients - from annual exams to minimally-invasive hysterectomy surgery (and everything in between!). Should a diagnosis indicate that surgery is needed, you can take comfort in knowing that a majority of surgeries performed at St. Francis are minimally-invasive, often resulting in a faster recovery and shorter hospital stays for our patients - allowing you a quick return to your life! Just this year, St. Francis was recognized as a Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery by the AAGL.

Our teams of surgeons have vast experience in minimally-invasive women's surgeries for the following conditions:
For women who require surgery, St. Francis offers a range of technologically-advanced minimally-invasive surgical options, including the robotic da Vinci Surgical System.

Robotic MiniSurgery

St. Francis was the first hospital in Greenville to offer the robotic da Vinci Surgical System, the most advanced, minimally-invasive surgical treatment available. And, our teams of surgeons are the most experienced in Greenville! While operating from a console, our surgeons utilize robotic instruments to make small incisions in the abdomen to insert surgical instruments that have wide range of motion and a 3D camera, allowing them a better view along with additional precision and control.

There are significant benefits of robotic surgery for our patients: considerably less pain, less blood loss, less scarring, shorter recovery time, a faster return to normal daily activities, and in many case, better clinical outcomes. St. Francis surgeons also perform a much higher percentage of robotic hysterecomties than the national average via this breakthrough technology!

For additional information about all of our minimally-invasive surgical procedures, make sure to check out MiniSurgery at St. Francis and our comprehensive specialty programs intended to enhance your overall experience.
