Welcome back to the Target Zone:
WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You...
Words could never express our gratitude and the gratitude of our entire staff for the support you all showed during our Community Appreciation Day. To say it was a resounding success would be an understatement!
We often use the word family when we discuss our staff and our patrons but words are easily spoken and can be without much meaning. However, the word family as it pertains to our staff and you our customers is very REAL. Together, we all proved that on Sat August 11th.
Here are just a few of the highlights of the day's activities. We gave away a Glock 19, a Mossberg 500 12 GA Shotgun, a Pair of Bushnell Binoculars valued at over $500.00 and a Surefire Fury Tactical flashlight along with hundreds of smaller prizes. In addition we gave away over 500 hotdogs!
You donated over 3000 lbs of food to the Post Falls food bank that just happened to be experiencing a critical shortage of many items that you provided. 59 of you attempted to donate blood and 49 units of blood were ultimately collected. The blood bank was hoping for 27 units...WOW! Four large totes of Toys were collected for the Toys for Tots program.
We had 28 Swap meet booths which helped bring in the people driving by. The Marine Coffee trailer collected in excess of $300.00 and the Lake Country Friends of the NRA sold hundreds of dollars of raffle tickets.
A very special thanks to our staff led by Stephanie who was determined to blow the blood bank's request for at least 27 donors out the window. And she did just that.
We can't forget to mention the support provided by our Bullwhip Master Joe Strain who entertained the crowd all day long despite the heat and uneven terrain. Thank you Joe. And how would you have wanted to be Boomer the Bear on one of the hottest days of the year? What a great show of support by the Spokane Chiefs organization as they allowed Boomer to be here and entertain the children.
Once again thank you to everyone for making Aug 11th a big success and now an annual event!

My Choice for Sheriff Bob Foster - Please see the article below for information on how you can meet Bob and see for yourself why I am supporting him in his quest for sheriff.

PHOTO ID Required - Recently we have had a few patrons come in to the range to shoot but they did not have a photo ID with them. We must have a photo ID in hand while you shoot in order to comply with our insurance company requirements. According to their policy we can't allow anyone to use the shooting range if we do not retain their photo ID while they are shooting. Please understand that this is a policy in which we must comply.
Keeping with the ID and insurance issues I would like to remind everyone that you must be 21 years old or have a parent/guardian with you to shoot if you are under 21 years old. If you are between 18 and 21 you may shoot a rifle but not a handgun.

We Buy Used Guns and will be happy to sell your gun on consignment for you. We try to keep a large selection of used guns on hand, but we are selling new and used guns as fast we can get them in. So the time has never been better for you to get cash out of that firearm that is just collecting dust.
It will cost you nothing to bring it in and get an idea on what value your firearm has. Just see Cam or Ken or Ed.

Don't forget to send Peggy your vacation or business photos showing your Center Target Sports logo shirt or hat. She's started posting them on the bulletin board to your left when you enter the range. Voting will be the end of September.

Center Target Sports continues to be a collection point for used cell phones and toiletries for the Post Falls Women's shelter (OASIS). Just bring in and leave with Peggy. They will also accept PJ's, robes, slippers and toiletry bags. If you're traveling and have checked luggage, collect all those unused bottles in your hotel bathroom and bring them back for us to donate to OASIS. Every little bit helps. Thank you.
**Thank you to all of you who have been bringing in toiletries. CTS is the ONLY one collecting for the Shelter.
