A Wedding Story
Illustrated by Bob Moody, 2011
|
There is truly magic in the air as the weather changes. The light is different, and the colors seem to become more vibrant under the crisp sunshine. It's Bob's favorite time of the year to paint.
This October, he'll have a very special subject. Our home pictured above will soon be the site for the wedding of Bob's oldest granddaughter Erin to Nate Helming. The middle arch will be draped with flowers as they exchange vows, officiated by family friend and Episcopal priest, Barry Vaughn.
Bob painted the watercolor above for the wedding invitation, and has been recently practicing painting watercolor figures with the aid of the book, Painting People in Watercolor-A Design Approach by Alex Powers . Can't wait for the wedding, and I'm looking forward to paintings of people, flowers, and evening magic. This month Bob's watercolors will capture our family's memories for the next generation.
