Thank you to Alabama's oldest business, Bromberg's,
for a unique tradition!
Do you have stories about Birmingham holiday traditions? We'd love to hear them! Please email us! Thanks!
Establishing holiday traditions and giving back is part of the joy of the holidays. But the Brombergs have chosen a truly unique way to share the holiday season with the community! Five years ago, the popular jewelry retailer decided to give a gift of celebration and tradition with universal appeal back to the community where they've been located since 1959. An annual 25-foot Norway or Fraser fir, lit with over 20,000 bulbs, has become a much-anticipated tradition attracting numerous families from around the entire Birmingham area. Located in the heart of Mountain Brook Village, the tree is surrounded by English Tudor buildings almost completely outlined in twinkling lights. The effect at night is magical!
Bromberg's was founded in Alabama in 1836 and is the oldest family owned retailer of any kind in the United States as well as the oldest business firm of any kind in the State of Alabama. Tradition, celebration, family, community, giving back, and special occasions - thank you to Bromberg's for capturing it all this season!
(And if you love holiday trees, don't miss the lighting of the 35-foot tree in Linn Park on December 7th! Finishing touches are going on now!)
