Help Spread the Word about this Great Opportunity for Families
By Brenda Drexler Brenda Drexler

The Remarkable Families Symposium 2012, sponsored by Cincinnati Children's Center for Infants and Children with Special Needs and Xavier University, will host a conference for Remarkable Families: those families with a child with special needs.  This conference is one you don't want to miss!  It is Friday, March 2nd, at the Cintas Center from 8:30-4:30.

This will be a day of learning and networking.  There will be over 75 vendors and 18 workshops to choose from.   The keynote address will be given by our own Dr. Gary Sweeten.  Dr. Sweeten is on the cutting edge of research and development of Sweeten Life Systems VIP Family Care, a new support system innovation for families who have children with special needs.  The research that was used to develop this system showed that one thing parents of children with special needs most lack is connection with others in their communities and churches who face the same challenges.

Registration for the Remarkable Families Symposium is available online at: www.xavier.edu/familyresiliency. For more information you may call: Thomas Knestrict at (513)745-3703, or e-mail him at knestrict@xavier.edu.

Mark YOUR calendar for this exciting day!  Registration is just $25 and includes breakfasts and lunch!  I am going to be there, why not join me?

A Note from Dr. Sweeten

We are seeing an explosion of training and helping opportunities here and around the world. The unique work we are doing with kids who have severe disabilities is getting a lot of attention from professionals and parents. We are teaching these parents and their families to fish, not just eat the fish of others.

I just received a wonderful letter from Gerald, a former student in Singapore. Gerald was trained in all the Teleios courses during the decade we spent in Asia and ministers full time at The Church of the Saviour (COOS,) a dynamic church with 5,000 members. Gerald sent me several photos of young men he helped through tough times, who have recovered and are now heading growing families.

Galina also sent me letters from three badly traumatized women whose lives and families have been rescued from the horrors of Communism.  All three have become active Christians and leaders as lay counselors and small group facilitators in their congregations. One day soon, we will add their stories to our web page so you can read the way God brought them out of bondage into His wonderful light.

Your support will strengthen the work of the Lord in the family healing centers we established in several of the places devastated by the Bolsheviks during 70 years of USSR terror and offer real help to families suffering with severe disabilities right here in the United States.

Change the world with your donations. Donations can be made online line at http://sweetenlife.com/supportsls.aspx  Snail Mail us at Sweeten Life Systems, P. O. Box 498455, Cincinnati, OH, 45249.

Thank you for your continued interest and commitment to Sweeten Life Systems.
