Deck the Halls and Start the Parade
 Anacortes salutes the season with its annual town Christmas tree lighting this Friday, December 4th at 5:45PM. Following this event, the traditional December "art walk" (9 - 12PM) will display work from local and regional artists at the many galleries in old town Anacortes. On Saturday, it's time for Santa to anchor the community's Christmas parade-an always popular march down Commercial Avenue with lots of love and candy for the tiny tots. The weekend finishes with a festive reception and auction of custom Christmas Trees donated by area businesses, organizations and philanthropists. Held at the Port Warehouse (Saturday, 5-7PM), auction receipts go to support Community Health Screenings organized and staffed by Island Hospital.
