Work has begun on Overlook Park at San Juan Passage, a magnificently landscaped design coming to life along the San Juan Passage waterfront. Paths and roads connecting the homes at San Juan Passage will wind seaward to Overlook Park, a dramatic promontory above a bluff.  A graceful pathway will connect to a second park at water's edge, where residents will enjoy weathered stone seats set into the hillside curve creating an amphitheatre with a classical feel.  Future pathways will connect these parks to the new trails along the beachfront, where benches and resting spots will offer views of the islands and waterways of the San Juan archipelago.
   

A "Fossil Hybrid" sculpture/fountain by renowned British artist Hamish Mackie  was recently installed. Hamish is establishing himself as one of the top British wildlife sculptors. Fossil Hybrid's design was based on a bivalve fossil found on an English beach, and was cast in bronze using the lost wax method. It is signed by the artist, dated, and is one of only 12 of its kind in the world.
