KidVenture Wednesday Night Programming
KidVenture Wednesday Night programming begins this week on Wednesday, September 19. These programs will meet weekly from 6:30-7:30 pm and will follow the Unit 5 school vacation schedule. Classes will meet in the following rooms:
- Preschool - Room L3
- Kindergarten--Third Grades - Room L2/L4
- Fourth--Fifth Grades - Room L6
Children will engage in activities that connect with the lesson from Sunday in different and exciting ways.
All-Church Prayer Service
Join Calvary for an All-Church Prayer Service on Wednesday, October 3 from 6:30-7:15 in the Worship Center. We will lift up the joys and concerns of our Calvary family through times of community prayer in both large groups and smaller interactive prayer stations. Whether you feel compelled to pray, need prayer yourself, or fall somewhere in between, this All-Church Prayer Service will connect you with God, one another, and our world.
Preschool Wednesday night programming will take place in Room L3 as usual. However, Kindergarten through Fifth Grade programming will be suspended in order to allow those children the opportunity to participate in the All-Church Prayer Service with their families.

Sunday Morning Acolyte Information
Sign-up is currently underway for the 2012-2013 Acolyte schedule. Interested Fourth and Fifth Graders may sign-up for this special ministry. Acolytes light the Altar Candles in worship services. The flame they carry represents the Light of Christ and remains lit through each worship service. At the end of service, the Acolyte carries the Light of Christ back out of service after extinguishing the Altar Candles.

Funk's Grove Family Day
Come to Funk's Grove Sugar Grove Nature Center and enjoy a day of fun with your family and friends. All are welcome! For more information about Funk's Grove, including directions, check out the Sugar Grove Nature Center website.
Buliisa Family Reunion & Potluck
The first annual Calvary Buliisa Family Reunion will take place Saturday September 22nd from 6-8pm. This event is an opportunity to remember our commitment to the Buliisa community, celebrate what God is doing, and continue serving our Buliisa brothers and sisters as a Calvary family. Festivities will include a potluck, letter-writing station, family photo booth, Buliisa updates and announcements, Medical Caregiver Kit assembly, inspirational stories, prayer area, craft and bracelet making, support and sponsorship, and the creation of our very own Calvary photo album comprised of pictures of all our sponsored children church-wide. Please sign up to bring a side dish at the Welcome Center.
Series Theme Sheets
At each Electronic Check-In kiosk you will now find Series Theme Sheets. There are three separate Series Theme Sheets, one for each age-level in KidVenture - Preschool (Lil'K), K-3rd (Johnny Rogers), and 4th-5th (Grapple). These sheets are for families to take home and keep during the series - post on the refrigerator, etc.
On the sheets you will find information relating to what your children will be learning during their lessons in the series, including their scripture memory verses, Bible stories, and lesson topics. They are intended to help spark conversation at home between you and your children. You are your child's primary spiritual leader! Use this resource to help connect with your child and to help both of you grow closer to God! Please pick up the Series Theme Sheets for your children's programs this Sunday!
CHECK-IN - ALL AGES
Friends and Visitors
We always welcome visitors and friends in KidVenture. If your family brings visitors on a Sunday morning, please stop by the KidVenture Connecting Point, located to the left of the Welcome Center near the entrance to the Nursery/Preschool hallway. At the KidVenture Connecting Point one of our assistants will check your visitor into a class session, provide them a name badge, and give you a separate code for check-out.
4th & 5th Graders
Although 4th and 5th graders are not required to be checked-out by a parent on Sunday mornings, they are required to be checked-in using the Electronic Check-In System. All students must be wearing a name badge when they enter their class session. This allows us to know that every student is where they are supposed to be during that hour and to keep watch of numbers for appropriate staffing. We do suggest that you setup an after-class meeting place with your child. Thank you for your help with this!

On Sunday mornings all children attending KidVenture programming, including Nursery through 5th Grade, must check-in using our Electronic Check-In System. Child Protection Training Class - Wednesday, September 19
6:30 pm in Room 111. This class is offered for anyone interested in volunteering in KidVenture or Calvary Student Ministries. If you cannot make this date, please contact us and we will schedule a time convenient for you.
Buliisa Family Reunion & Potluck
First annual reunion celebrating our commitment to helping the people of Buliisa, Uganda from 6:30-7:30 pm. For more information, including how to sign up to bring a dish to pass, see above.
Funks Grove Family Day - Sunday, September 30
Family fun from 2-4:30 pm at Sugar Grove Nature Center.
All-Church Prayer Service - Wednesday, October 3
Join the Calvary family in this special prayer event from 6:30-7:15 pm in the Worship Center. KidVenture Kindergarten--Fifth Grade programming will be suspended in order to allow children to participate in the prayer service with their families. Preschool programming will take place as usual in Room L3.
Trunk-Or-Treat - Sunday, October 28
Trick-or-treat with the Calvary family and our neighbors from 4:30-6 pm at the church.
