Beginning this week, all Preschoolers (3's & 4's) will meet together in Room 108. This is a change from last week.
4th and 5th Graders at the 10:30 am hour will meet in Room L2/L4 after they are dismissed from Worship.
The KidVenture Children's Choir will begin rehearsals for the 2012-2013 school year on Wednesday, September 12 from 6-6:30 in Room L7. The choir will rehearse weekly. All children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade are invited to attend. No pre-registration is required.
KidVenture Wednesday Night Programming
We would like to begin Wednesday evening programs soon; however, we still need to fill some coordinating roles for these programs. If you are interested in working with KidVenture in this capacity, please contact KidVenture@ConnectWithCalvary.org ASAP.
We are praying and seeking God's direction for these programs. We welcome your prayers as well.
WHAT'S NEW?
Third Grade Bible Sunday
Calvary's Third-Graders will receive their Bibles during Worship on September 16, 2012. If you have a 3rd Grader, please email the following information to KidVenture@ConnectWithCalvary.org by Wednesday, September 12.
- Child's name as it should be written inside their Bible
- Child's name as he/she wants it announced in Worship
- Which hour (9 or 10:30) the student will be present
If your third-grader cannot be present on September 16, please let us know that also and we will present it to them on a following Sunday in KidVenture.
Series Theme Sheets 
At each Electronic Check-In kiosk you will now find Series Theme Sheets. There are three separate Series Theme Sheets, one for each age-level in KidVenture - Preschool (Lil'K), K-3rd (Johnny Rogers), and 4th-5th (Grapple). These sheets are for parents to take home and keep during the series - post on the refrigerator, etc.
On the sheets you will find information relating to what your children will be learning during their lessons in the series, including their scripture memory verses, Bible stories, and lesson topics. They are intended to help spark conversation at home between you and your children. You are your child's primary spiritual leader! Use this resource to help connect with your child and to help both of you grow closer to God! Please pick up the Series Theme Sheets for your children's programs this Sunday!
Fill the Trailer Food Drive
Calvary will collect non-perishable goods on Sundays, September 2, 9 & 16. These goods will go to stock our on-demand food box and Western Avenue Community Center. Bring items to the trailer near the circle drive and help fill it up!
Needed Food Items:
- Canned fruits
- Canned vegetables
- Canned soups
- Spaghetti-os or similar products. (They do not need canned chili however)
- Macaroni and Cheese box
- Pasta any kind
CHECK-IN - ALL AGES
Friends and Visitors
We always welcome visitors and friends in KidVenture. If your family brings visitors on a Sunday morning, please stop by the KidVenture Connecting Point, located to the left of the Welcome Center near the entrance to the Nursery/Preschool hallway. At the KidVenture Connecting Point one of our assistants will check your visitor into a class session, provide them a name badge, and give you a separate code for check-out.
4th & 5th Graders
Although 4th and 5th graders are not required to be checked-out by a parent on Sunday mornings, they are required to be checked-in using the Electronic Check-In System. All students must be wearing a name badge when they enter their class session. This allows us to know that every student is where they are supposed to be during that hour and to keep watch of numbers for appropriate staffing. We do suggest that you setup an after-class meeting place with your child. Thank you for your help with this!

6:15-7 pm in Room L2/L4. This class is offered for anyone interested in volunteering in KidVenture or Calvary Student Ministries. If you cannot make this date, please contact KidVenture@ConnectWithCalvary.org and we will schedule a time convenient for you.
KidVenture Leader Training - Tonight
7-8 pm in Room L2/L4. Anyone interested in volunteering as a KidVenture leader should attend this class. If you are unable to attend this session, please contact KidVenture@ConnectWithCalvary.org
