GEARING UP FOR FALL

Greetings!

It's hard to believe that Summer is winding down and school is right around the corner. Believe it or not, this means that it is also time to prepare for Fall here in KidVenture as well. We have exciting, Christ-centered programming lined up for all ages, and we can't wait to get started!

We are actively seeking volunteers for KidVenture's school-year programming. We would love to connect you with a role that fits your spiritual gifts. We have many needs, some that involve working with children and some that don't. Our greatest need is for Small Group Leaders where ideally we should have one leader for every 5 students. We also need people for our Large Group teams, Tech team, Supplies team, Special Events team, Nursery team, and Connecting Point team.

You don't have to be a Biblical scholar in order to serve in KidVenture. All KidVenture leaders find themselves in different places along their spiritual journey, and part of serving allows you to grow in that journey. Often leaders volunteer believing they are simply filling a spot, only to later realize their time in KidVenture blesses them more than they ever possibly imagined. The only requirement to serving in KidVenture is taking our Child Protection Training - this class can be scheduled at your convenience.

Fall programming begins Sunday, August 26. Volunteer sign-up is currently taking place online and in the Atrium on Sunday. Please consider this your personal invitation to join the KidVenture team. We can't wait to get you connected!

Child Protection Training Class - Wednesday, September 19

6:30 pm in Room 111. This class is offered for anyone interested in volunteering in KidVenture or Calvary Student Ministries. If you cannot make this date, please contact us and we will schedule a time convenient for you.

Wednesday Programming Kick-off - Wednesday, September 12

Funks Grove Family Day - Sunday, September 30

Family fun from 2-4:30 pm at Sugar Grove Nature Center.

Trunk-Or-Treat - Sunday, October 28

Trick-or-treat with the Calvary family and our neighbors from 4:30-6 pm at the church.
