Kids Move Up This Week!
Dear KidVenture Families, We hope you are enjoying your summer! We have already had a busy summer at Calvary and are so blessed to have you as part of our family. KidVenture Sunday summer programming begins this week! We are also considering this "Move-up Sunday," as kids should now attend the grade-level they will be entering in the Fall. Please check out the new room assignments keeping your child's Fall grade in mind. 7:45 am
- Nursery: Room 109 (Infants through Preschoolers)
9 & 10:30 am
- Nursery A: Room 107 (Born after March 1, 2011)
- Nursery B: Room 109 (Born between September 2, 2009 & February 28, 2011)
- Preschool: Room 108 (Ages 3-5 on or before September 2, 2012 & not entering Kindergarten this fall
- Kindergarten: Room L2/L4 (Entering Kindergarten Fall 2012)
- 1st--5th Grades: Room L2/L4 (Those entering 1st-5th grades Fall 2012)

To the incoming 6th graders, we wish you God's amazing blessings as you move on into Calvary Student Ministries (CSM). Summer Sunday school for 6th Graders will be held at the 9 am hour in Room L1. The students are encouraged to also attend Worship during either the 7:45am or 10:30am service. In a letter to 6th Grade parents, Michael Pitzer, Coordinator of Student Spiritual Development, explained, "We are encouraging the youth to come to Sunday school for an hour and attend worship for another hour each Sunday."
To all KidVenture Families, we hope that your family had at least one opportunity to worship together as a family during the month of June. As a church family we want to encourage you to make worshiping as a family a priority for your family. If you currently attend for one hour on Sunday morning (kids attend KidVenture while you attend worship), please consider adding another hour to your schedule one or more times per month to allow your children to attend worship with you. There are many opportunities for you to connect, learn, or serve during the extra hour. Consider taking that next step. - KIDVENTURE SUMMER LEADERS: Sign up to lead in KidVenture this July and August! This is a great way to check out what happens in KidVenture with no long-term commitment. - MOVE-UP DAY - SUNDAY, JULY 1: All children will move to their new grade levels on Sunday, July 1, 2012. For classroom assignments, please see above.
- FAMILY NIGHT - WEDNESDAY, JULY 11: Join the Calvary family on Wednesday, July 11 from 5:30-7 pm near the Sand Volleyball Pit. Bring a dish to pass, and enjoy the fun, family night filled with games and a potluck. KidVenture will supply the hot dogs, buns, lemonade, and table service. All are welcome!
We have to thank the 270+ children and especially the 150+ volunteers for making VBS so AMAZING! God is so good!
 | | Over 270 children were registered, $1000 was raised for Habitat for Humanity, 155 volunteers served, and 500 cups of pudding were consumed at this year's VBS from June 18-21. Our theme, Extreme Makeover: Calvary Edition, focused on helping these children build a solid blueprint, foundation, and team to shine as God's building. |
