This past Sunday, children in KidVenture learned that God wants us to be connected with other believers so that we can support and encourage each other. Just as a hand can't live without being connected to the body, we can't live without the love and support of others. In that sense the church is like a body and the body is like the church - it is supposed to work together.
We are thankful for all the wonderful friends we can connect with at Calvary. This past Sunday KidVenture children had the opportunity to share their visions for the Phase II Building Expansion through drawings that will be on display for the entire congregation - connecting with God and with one another through art. Be sure to check out the entire gallery of artwork this Sunday in the Atrium!
Operation Christmas Child Continues Through November 20
It's time to fill the shoe boxes! KidVenture is once again partnering with a Calvary small group to bring the hope of Christmas to children around the world. Information and boxes are available to all in the Atrium. Boxes can be returned to the Atrium on Sundays, November 13 & 20, or to the church office Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm until Sunday, November 20. Please consider having your family fill a box and bring the love of Christ to a child around the world! Bible Blast Overnight for Third and Fourth Graders Bible Blast is an exciting event where children learn all sorts of wonderful things about their Bibles. Please mark your calendars for Friday evening and Saturday morning, November 18 and 19. Please register your child online. We need volunteers for this event. Volunteers do not have to be parents of third and fourth graders. We are especially looking for a couple of dads who will be willing to be overnight chaperones for our boys and those willing to help with food and clean-up.
