Children's Choir To Sing This Sunday
This week's regular KidVenture Children's Choir rehearsal will serve as a dress rehearsal for Sunday. The children will put the final touches on the two pieces they plan to share in worship this Sunday, October 23. They will share two songs at both the 9 am and 10:30 am worship services that morning. Detailed instructions for parents and participants will be shared at the rehearsal. If your child plans to join us on October 23, please plan to have them attend rehearsal on the 19th. Prayer Service & KidVenture Wednesday Night
Calvary will hold a Prayer Service on Wednesday, October 19 from 7-7:30 pm in the Worship Center. The entire congregation is invited and encouraged to take part in this special event. The event will conclude with a bonfire outside at the fire pit, complete with s'mores.
KidVenture has special plans for the night!
- Children's Choir will meet as usual from 6-6:30 pm in Room L7 - see above for special rehearsal information
- KidVenture Wednesday Night & Mission Kids will begin at 6:30, as usual, but will end 35 minutes early at 6:55 pm, so children can attend the service with their families. Please plan to pick your child up before 7 pm so you can attend the prayer service together.
- Nursery/Childcare will be available in Room 109 for infants and children up through Preschool during the Prayer Service (7-7:30 pm).
(Preschool Note: If your Preschooler attends KidVenture, and you prefer they not attend the Prayer Service, we ask that you pick them up from Room L3 before 7 pm and check them into the Nursery. KidVenture volunteers will not be asked to make this transfer. Thank you for your cooperation.)
Make Your Plans for Trunk or Treat
Calvary will host the second annual Trunk or Treat celebration on Sunday, October 30 from 4:30-6 pm in the Calvary parking lot. Children and families are invited out for safe trick-or-treating, fun entertainment, and delicious fall food. There is a sign-up in the Atrium for individuals and families who would like to attend or host a decorated trunk. This is a great opportunity to connect with the community and invite them to Calvary.
Bible Blast Overnight Plans Underway for Third and Fourth Graders
Bible Blast is an exciting event where children learn all sorts of wonderful things about their Bibles. Typically a Third Grade event, this year's event will be open to all Third and Fourth Grade students because the event wasn't held last year. Please mark your calendars for Friday evening and Saturday morning, November 18 and 19. We welcome any parents who would be willing to help out with activities. We are especially looking for a couple of dads who will be willing to be overnight chaperones for our boys. Helpers do not need to stay the entire time.
