| Third Graders Receive Bibles This Sunday
Third Graders will receive their Bibles in service this week! During KidVenture they will also receive a very special message from Pastor Grant. This will be a special time they won't want to miss!
Note to 10:30 am students: Because of the special events of the day, Third Grade students will meet in Room L3 for KidVenture. Parents, please plan to check your Third Graders out of Room L3 this week, rather than Room L2/L4.
Reminder: If you have not already done so, please contact KidVenture@ConnectWithCalvary.org with the following information:
- Name as you want it printed in the student's Bible
- Name as you want it announced in church
- Which service (9 or 10:30 am) your child will be present
If your child cannot attend on September 25, please let us know and we will be sure your student receives a Bible on a different Sunday in KidVenture.
KidVenture Needs You!
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
KidVenture is so blessed to have the opportunity to connect with your children each week and share with them how special it is to develop a relationship with God. This is such an exciting time to be part of this ministry, as our programs are reaching more children each week than ever before!
We are so blessed to have such a wonderful team of leaders who share our love of God and our passion for building disciples of Jesus Christ. These special people dedicate two or more hours a month to Calvary's children on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights. Due to our increasing attendance, we are experiencing the need for more leaders in all programs and at all age levels. We are asking each of you to consider lending a couple hours a month to the KidVenture ministry on either Sunday morning or Wednesday night.
Leaders are responsible for a small group of students. They assist Large Group leaders in sharing the main lesson each week and guide their own Small Group in discussion in order to broaden their understanding of the theme and deepen their faith.

Preschool Connection
 KidVenture Preschoolers learned the story of the Night Neighbor from Luke 11:5-8. This man did not want to wake up and share his bread with his neighbor. His neighbor had to ask and ask and ask.
God wants us to share BIG! We should think of sharing before others ask.
Remember Verse:
I can do all things through Christ, because He gives me strength - Phillipians 4:13 (This is the last week of our 5-week cycle for the BIG curriculum) - Even though you're small, you can do BIG things with God's help!
- Sharing BIG means sharing before you are even asked.

Kindergarten-Third Grade Connection
Our Kindergarten-Third Grade students continued their theme of being world changers this week by learning about taking risks. Moses was weary of following God's instruction to lead the Israelites out of slavery, because he just didn't think he could do it by himself (Exodus 3:1-14). But, God commanded him to do it, and he did!
God wants to do something incredible through your life. You may not think you can do it. God wants you to be strong and courageous, and he will be with you every step of the way!
Memory Max Verse:
I command you--be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

Fourth-Fifth Grade Connecti on
Grapple students (fourth and fifth graders) continued their study called Why Can't We All Just Get Along? The theme for the week was Why Do I Have to Sit in the Back Seat?
You may feel that you're always the one waiting for the bathroom, getting the last snack, waiting for the remote control, or sitting in the back seat. It's tough, but God wants you to show His love to your brothers and sisters by sacrificing what you want for your siblings.

MyGrapple:
Take some time to sit with your fourth and fifth graders at the computer this week (remind them to have their login information handy). You will find the MyGrapple site at www.mygrapple.com. On the Home Page they will see the Grapple Clues, a challenge and other helpful information designed to keep them thinking about their lesson from Sunday and also prepare them for next week. Take some time to look at "My Class" and have a look at how they can communicate with one another through the "Let's Talk" link.

KidVenture Nursery
The KidVenture Nursery offers families the option of childcare while parents attend worship, attend Sunday School, teach or serve the Calvary family on Sunday mornings.
KidVenture Nursery is available throughout all worship hours on Sunday mornings and is located in Calvary's Main Level Education Wing in Rooms 107 and 109. Room assignments are determined by your child's age as of September 1, 2011 and are posted outside the door for each worship hour.
