Preschool Connection
KidVenture Preschoolers heard the story from Luke 17:11-19 about a leper in the Bible who was so thankful to Jesus for healing him! Ask your child what he or she is thankful for today and share what you are thankful for too.
Remember Verse:
I can do all things through Christ, because He gives me strength - Phillipians 4:13 (For preschoolers, the Remember Verse remains the same during each 5-week curriculum cycle) - Even though you're small, you can do BIG things with God's help!
- You can thank big by saying, "Thank you."

Kindergarten-Third Grade Connection

KidVenture students in grades K-3 continued their theme of being world changers even when they are going through a hard time of life. When Joseph was sitting in jail, life was at its worst, but Joseph knew God was aware of his situation and would bring about something GREAT! (Genesis 41:1-41)
We cannot control the circumstances of our life. Bad things will happen, but that doesn't mean God doesn't care. It means God wants to bring something GREAT out of something bad. Look for the good out of the bad! Memory Max Verse: And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28
Compass Point: When life's a mess, expect God's best!

Fourth-Fifth Grade Connection
This week, our Grapple students (fourth and fifth graders) continued their study called Why Can't We All Just Get Along? The theme for the week was Why Can't I Be An Only Child? They discussed Jacob and Esau (Genesis 25:19-34) and Joseph forgiving his brothers (Genesis 45). The lesson centered on treasuring the family God gave us, whether that is no siblings or many siblings!
Key Faith Foundation: God's Plan for Loving Our Siblings
Key Scriptures: Matthew 10:16-22; John 21:15-19; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
MyGrapple: Take some time to sit with your fourth and fifth graders at the computer this week (remind them to have their login information handy). You will find the MyGrapple site at www.mygrapple.com. On the Home Page they will see the Grapple Clues, a challenge and other helpful information designed to keep them thinking about their lesson from Sunday and also prepare them for next week. Take some time to look at "My Class" and have a look at how they can communicate with one another through the "Let's Talk" link.
If your student has any issues with logging on, please contact kidventure@connectwithcalvary.org.
