Scripture: Mark 15:1-41

Weaving Faith Into Life: Through this passage, children will remember God's great love for us.

Are you being a FaithWeaver this week? Try this fun faith-growing activity with your child: share ideas about sacrifice (swapping TV time for reading the Bible, etc) and close with a discussion about how Jesus died on the cross as a way to ensure our salvation. Thank you Jesus!

Holy Wednesday Worship
Join Calvary for Holy Wednesday Worship at 6:30 pm in the Worship Center. It will feature music and Scripture readings throughout as we journey through Holy Week together. Holy Communion will be shared. We recommend you talk about this Holy Sacrament with your children and be prepared to experience this time together. Please click here to learn more about United Methodist beliefs about Communion. Higher Ground and the Celebration Singers will share their gift of song. Families are encouraged to attend this service. Preschool KidVenture@ Night will meet as usual. Kindergarten students are invited to join the Preschool group, if desired. Nursery care will be available for younger children.

KidVenture Volunteer Sign-ups (Summer and Fall 2011-2012)
KidVenture volunteer sign-up will begin on May 1 for summer and fall helpers. Our growing KidVenture Children's Ministry is seeking hearts and hands to help our children connect with God, one another and our world. Leaders are needed for one or several weeks during the summer months and also for next school year. Leaders work in teams which allows schedule flexibility. All supplies are provided, so all we need is YOU!

Vacation Bible School Registration
Registration for VBS has successfully launched! Our theme for this year is Growing God's Word in Your Heart and will run June 13-16, 6:15-8 pm each evening. Registration and secure online payment will continue through the KidVenture website until May 1. Register your children ages 4 by September 1, 2011 up through entering 5th grade in the Fall of 2011. A donation of $5 per child, requested at the time of registration, this helps to cover snacks, crafts, and a t-shirt. There are many volunteer opportunities for the week of VBS. Your Help is Requested

Share your appreciation for our KidVenture teachers on Sunday, May 1, 2011, when we honor them with a Teacher Appreciation Brunch.We have over 70 teachers to thank and we need your help! We are in need of food items, such as breakfast casseroles, pastries, fruit and drinks. We will also need help with setup and clean-up.
